About the Role
BDO UK's Advisory Graduate Programme is a three-year comprehensive journey where graduates combine real job experiences with paid study leave, working towards industry-recognized qualifications. This programme offers graduates the chance to explore their chosen business stream, develop a diverse skill set, and create a solid foundation for their career progression. Participants enjoy the benefits of excellent coaching and mentoring throughout their time in the programme, aiding in both their professional and personal development.
In terms of training, the programme includes a combination of self-taught and classroom sessions, ensuring that graduates have enough study time and support. Successful completion of the programme leads to a Level 7 Accountancy/Taxation Apprenticeship, which covers qualifications such as ACA, ACA/CTA Joint Programme, CTA, and ATT/CTA Tax Pathway qualification. From the outset, graduates work closely with experienced colleagues on live assignments, honing their commercial and client skills.
Student & Graduate Recruitment Process
Stage 1: Online Application
You need to apply through BDO's official job application portal. The application asks a set of questions about who you are, your education and your experience. It normally takes less than 30 minutes.
Stage 2: Online Assessment
This stage includes two parts: interactive assessment and video interview. The interactive assessment consists of numerical and situational tests. The video interview will focus on your behaviour and motivation.
Stage 3: Virtual Assessment Centre and Final Interview
If you are successful in Stage 2, you will attend a virtual assessment centre. This stage involves a series of exercises such as a group discussion and report writing. You may also need to attend a final interview on the same day. If your final interview is not on the same day, you will be invited to a final interview on another day.
Stage 4: Offer and Feedback
Following the final assessment, candidates receive feedback and are informed about the outcome of their application. You will receive a job offer if you are successful.
