About the Role

EY UK's Assurance Graduate Programme is a dynamic and essential part of the firm's services, focusing on protecting businesses from risks that could impact their reputation and performance. As external auditors, graduates in this programme are responsible for providing assurance that businesses and governments produce reliable and fair financial information. Participants in the programme will engage in a variety of critical tasks, such as getting to know clients and their businesses, testing business controls, performing independent assessments of financial information, and using a hybrid working model to split time between client sites, the office and home.

The programme is open to candidates from diverse academic backgrounds and focuses on personal and professional growth. Graduates will work towards professional qualifications in chartered accountancy with ICAS or ICAEW over three years, including a Level 7 Apprenticeship in Accountancy and Taxation.

Student & Graduate Recruitment Process

Stage 1: Online Application

Applicants are required to apply through EY's official job application portal. The application asks a set of questions about who you are, your education and your experience. It normally takes around 30 mins.

Stage 2: Online Assessments

This stage will involve a selection of rank order, written and recorded video answers, and, where applicable to your programme, a time-recorded numerical reasoning test.

Stage 3: EY Experience Day

During the Experience Day, you'll take part in a number of activities and exercises, including a group case study and an individual task which involves numerical reasoning and situational judgement.

If you are applying for the Assurance Graduate Programme, you will attend in-person EY Experience days in one of their UK offices, which will also include a final interview.

Stage 4: Final Interview

This is your opportunity to share your strengths and motivations for the role you’ve applied for with a senior member of the team. It is also your chance to ask any questions you have about the programme and business area you've applied to.

If you applied for the Assurance Graduate Programme, your final interview will be held during the Experience Day.

Stage 5: Offer and Feedback

Following the final assessment, candidates receive feedback and are informed about the outcome of their application. You will receive a job offer if you are successful.
