About the Role
EY UK's Strategy and Transactions Graduate Programme is centred around aiding clients in their business growth, transformation, and competitive positioning. The programme involves advising clients on various aspects of their business, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and overall business transformation. Graduates play a critical role in helping clients navigate complex business landscapes and reinvent themselves for a sustainable future.
Graduates in this programme work across different areas such as Business Modelling and Analytics, Data Analytics, Corporate Finance, Economic Advisory, Operational Analytics and Research, Transaction Diligence, Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy, and Valuation. This diversity offers them a broad spectrum of experiences and learning opportunities. They are supported to study towards professional qualifications like the ICAEW or ICAS, with a combination of formal and on-the-job training in areas such as financial modelling, analytical techniques, project management, and core professional skills.
Student & Graduate Recruitment Process
Stage 1: Online Application
Applicants are required to apply through EY's official job application portal. The application asks a set of questions about who you are, your education and your experience. It normally takes around 30 mins.
Stage 2: Online Assessments
This stage will involve a selection of rank order, written and recorded video answers, and, where applicable to your programme, a time-recorded numerical reasoning test.
Stage 3: EY Experience Day
During the Experience Day, you'll take part in a number of activities and exercises, including a group case study and an individual task which involves numerical reasoning and situational judgement.
If you are applying for the Assurance Graduate Programme, you will attend in-person EY Experience days in one of their UK offices, which will also include a final interview.
Stage 4: Final Interview
This is your opportunity to share your strengths and motivations for the role you’ve applied for with a senior member of the team. It is also your chance to ask any questions you have about the programme and business area you've applied to.
If you applied for the Assurance Graduate Programme, your final interview will be held during the Experience Day.
Stage 5: Offer and Feedback
Following the final assessment, candidates receive feedback and are informed about the outcome of their application. You will receive a job offer if you are successful.
