About the Role

The Mazars UK Tax Graduate Programme offers a comprehensive training experience for graduates aspiring to specialise in taxation. This programme is designed to provide in-depth exposure to various aspects of tax compliance and advisory services. Trainees will have the opportunity to work in different tax disciplines, gaining a broad understanding of the services Mazars offers to its clients.

In the first two years of the programme, trainees will focus on learning tax software and systems to prepare corporation tax computations and returns, developing an understanding of financial statements and the nature of clients' businesses. They will also work on building effective communication with other departments and clients. By the end of the third year, trainees will work on various compliance and advisory engagements, develop strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation, and begin to manage advisory engagements. Throughout the programme, trainees are supported with a full study package towards a professional qualification, including time off for studying and attending courses.

Student & Graduate Recruitment Process

Stage 1: Online Application

You need to apply through Mazar's official job application portal. The application form asks a set of questions about who you are, your education and your experience. It will take no more than 30 minutes.

Stage 2: Online Assessment

Mazar's online assessment consists of multiple scenario-based questions where you need to rank answers based on your judgements and multiple numerical reasoning questions. The assessment will not be timed, but it will take around 70 minutes to complete. You can find more about how to prepare for Mazar's online assessment here.

Stage 3: Interview

This first-round interview will be with a member of the student recruitment team, and it will focus on your motivation to apply and the core competencies they are looking for.

Stage 4: Virtual Assessment Centre

If you are successful in your interview, you will be invited to the assessment centre. The assessment centre will include a case study, a group exercise, a numerical reasoning test and a final interview with a senior member of the team you will be joining.

Stage 5: Offer and Feedback

Following the assessment centre or final interview, candidates receive feedback and are informed about the outcome of their application. You will receive a job offer if you are successful.
