Stage 1: Online Application
Candidates apply through Amazon’s official careers portal, submitting their CVs and completing application questions tailored to specific roles and locations. The application process focuses on capturing details of your education, work experience, and alignment with Amazon’s leadership principles.
Stage 2: Online Assessments
Depending on the role, Amazon's online assessment will have 3 to 4 sections, which include Working with the Team, Working with Metrics, Previous Experiences and Amazon Work Styles. The entire assessment may take around 60 - 75 minutes.
If you apply for data, technology or engineering-related roles, you may also need to complete a coding-related online assessment.
Stage 3: Interview
If you are successful in your online assessment, depending on the role and location, you may need to complete an interview. The interview may be conducted online or in the office.
The interview will have multiple parts, which may include several behavioural and scenario-based interviews surrounding Amazon's leadership principles and work culture and a case study.
In some cases, applicants may also need to complete a group task as well as a presentation. However, the majority of the roles do not involve this part.
Stage 4: Offer and Feedback
Candidates receive feedback following the final interview, providing an opportunity to seek clarification and evaluate their personal fit for the role. If you are successful in your interview, you will receive a job offer.

⌛️ Overall Time Needed to Practice: 4 days
⏰ Overall Time Needed to Complete the Test: 60 - 75 minutes
Working with the Team:
This section presents written scenarios focusing on workplace ethics, team management, and decision-making. You will play the role of a manager, and your goal is to ensure that your team creates high-quality work that is delivered on time to customers. During the assessment, you will be given some scenarios based on which you need to decide whether the provided response is effective or not.
This assessment is not timed but typically takes 15 minutes.
In order to effectively prepare for these questions, you can practise our Situational Judgement Tests, where we explain the values and strengths that most UK employers are looking for, and you can put your learning into practice, too.
Working with Metrics
Numerical and verbal reasoning plays an important role at Amazon. This assessment is designed to assess your numerical and verbal skills and attention to detail. During this assessment, you will be asked to perform some calculations based on the information provided.
This part of the assessment has 15 questions. This assessment is not timed, and you will need to complete it in 60 minutes, though the test itself may only take 30 minutes to complete. The speed and accuracy of your calculation will be taken into consideration when calculating your final results. If you practice our set of Numerical Reasoning questions, with a focus on Challenge Zone: Assessment One and become comfortable with them, you can easily pass this part of the assessment.
Previous Experiences
This part of the assessment only takes 2 minutes and asks you about your previous experience of working in teams, leadership, time management and other strengths. While you do not need to prepare for this assessment, it will be helpful to take some time to think about your past experiences.
Work Styles Assessment
In this assessment, each question will display two statements. You will need to choose the statement that best matches your work style. If you are unsure about which statement to choose, follow your initial reaction to choose one and keep going. There are no right or wrong answers.
Although you do not need to prepare for this assessment beforehand, you can practise our Situational Judgement Tests, where we explain the values and strengths that most UK employers are looking for. It will help you align your answers more closely.
