Student & Graduate Recruitment Process

Stage 1: Online Application

You will be required to submit your CV, cover letter (optional) and personal details as well as some short essay questions via Bloomberg's official online application platform.

Stage 2: Online Assessment

Bloomberg's online assessment takes around one hour to complete. The assessment is divided into 5 different sections that assess your cognitive reasoning skills, work preference and personality.

You can learn more about this assessment below.

Stage 3: Virtual Interview

If you are successful in your online assessment, your application will be further reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to a pre-recorded video interview.

During the interview, you will need to answer 7-8 pre-recorded questions, depending on the role, and provide your answers in a limited time.

You can learn more about how to prepare for the Virtual Interview here.

Stage 4: Assessment Centre

Successful candidates will be invited to an assessment centre. Generally, Bloomberg's online assessment consists of three different sections, including a behavioural interview, a technical interview and a work-related test (some roles will not have this part).

Stage 5: Offer and Feedback

Following the assessment centre, candidates receive feedback and are informed about the outcome of their application. You will receive a job offer if you are successful.

How to Prepare for the Online Assessment

Bloomberg's online assessment is provided by Plum, and it consists of five different stages, including a situational judgement test, a personality test, and a problem-solving test, which is divided into two parts. This assessment is not timed.

⌛️ Overall Time Needed to Practice: 4 days

⏰ Overall Time Needed to Complete the Assessment: 60 minutes

Situational Judgement Test (Social Interactions)

The assessment entails reading some scenarios and rating given responses to scenarios as most effective or least effective. There will be 8 questions during the assessment, and those questions will be designed to assess the behaviours required to succeed in day-to-day work at Bloomberg. The assessment is not timed, and it may take 20 minutes to complete this part of the assessment.

In order to successfully pass this part of the assessment, you can practice our Situational Judgement Tests, which include ranking-style questions that help you understand corporate culture and what employers might be looking for.

Problem-Solving Test

This part of the assessment is divided into two separate sections and will last for 10 minutes in total. During this test, you will see some shapes that have some commonality and other shapes that follow the same rule. Overall, logical reasoning assessments are not very difficult. However, practice is essential for success.

In order to pass the logical reasoning assessment, you can simply practice our Logical Reasoning Tests.

Personality Test

This part is also divided into two parts: Priorities and Preferences and "You". During the assessment, you will be presented with different statements and asked to select the ones that are Most and Least likely to describe you.

Although there are no right or wrong answers to the questions, it is important to read about Unilever's culture and values, as the employer will be looking for candidates who closely align with those.
