Student & Graduate Recruitment Process

Stage 1: Online Application

Candidates apply for positions through NHS job portals or specific NHS trust websites, submitting their CVs and completing application questions.

Stage 2: Online Assessments

If you meet the requirements for the role, you will be invited to the stage 2, which is Online Assessment. During the online assessment, you will need to answer multiple ranking and rating style questions as well as some numerical and logical reasoning questions. Stage 3: Work Based Scenarios

If you are successful in your online assessment, you will be invited to complete the Work Based Scenarios assessment. This assessment will include multiple video recording, ranking and rating and free-form typing questions asking you to provide responses based on real work scenarios at NHS. This stage can be seen as an interview.

This stage takes around 60 - 75 minutes to complete.

Stage 4: Virtual Assessment Centre

This stage consists of an ice-breaking activity, a writing task, a briefing exercise, a group case study and a strength-based interview. The duration of the Virtual Assessment Centre is around 4 hours.

Stage 5: Offer and Feedback

Following the assessment centre, candidates receive feedback and are informed about the outcome of their application. You will receive a job offer if you are successful.

How to Prepare for the Online Assessment

NHS's Online Assessment has around 40 questions where you have to answer multiple ranking and rating style questions as well as some numerical and logical reasoning questions.

The overall assessment is not timed, but you need to complete them in one sitting.
