Student & Graduate Recruitment Process
Stage 1: Online Application
Candidates apply via Unilever’s official careers portal, submitting their CV, academic information and work history. The application should highlight relevant experience, skills, and motivation for joining Unilever.
Stage 2: Online Assessment
After submitting your application, you will be invited to complete a two-stage online assessment.
For the first stage, Unilever uses Sova Assessments. The assessment consists of a blend of logical, verbal, and numerical reasoning questions and a situational judgement test, which evaluates decision-making in work scenarios.
For the second stage, Unliver uses the HireVue Portrait Personality Test. During the test, you will see multiple images for each question and be asked to choose an image which describes you the best.
The entire assessment takes around 75 minutes. It is important to set aside an ample amount of time to complete those tests.
Stage 3: Digital Interview
If you successfully pass the online assessments, you will proceed to a pre-recorded video interview. This stage includes 3 pre-recorded questions and a business case study exercise.
You can find more about how to prepare for this assessment here.
Stage 4: Discovery Centre
The final stage of the Unilever recruitment process is the Virtual Discovery Centre, which is essentially Unilever's assessment centre. The discovery centre involves a presentation, a group exercise and a competency-based interview.
For the presentation, you will need to prepare and deliver a 10-minute presentation, followed by a Q&A session.
For the group discussion, you will be participating in a team meeting, often revolving around business scenarios.
Stage 5: Offer and Feedback
Following the discovery centre, candidates receive feedback and are informed about the outcome of their application. You will receive a job offer if you are successful.
